Day 01 : Dehi / Haridwar / Rishikesh
Morning drive to Rishikesh enroute visit Haridwar.
Haridwar is considered very holy, as this is the point from where the Ganges emerges from the Himalayas to begin its slow progress across the plains. The main ghat 'Har ki Pauri' (the footsteps of God) is suppose to be the precise spot where the Ganges leaves the mountains and enters the plains. Consequently the river's power to wash away sins at this spot is superlative and endorsed by a footprint of Vishnu left on a stone here.

Glass House On The Ganges - Once a private garden-retreat of the Maharajas of Tehri Garhwal, it is set in a litchi orchard with a garden of tropical plants, rare birds & butterflies. Moreover, this location is considered auspicious since it is the only place where the Ganges flows towards the north. The property offers relaxed atmosphere replete with leisure, reading, log fires and barbecue near the banks of the river.

Delhi - Corbett
Day 01 : Delhi / Corbett
Depart late evening by coach to Corbett.
Corbett National Park - It is India's oldest and one of her best parks covering 1318 sq. kms situated in the Himalayan foothills with open grasslands & river Ramganga flowing through its entire length. It is named after the famous hunter-naturalist Corbett who, between 1907 & 1939 tracked down and killed man-eaters which had claimed an aggregate of 1300 human lives. It is India's first & biggest Tiger reserve sponsored by 'World Wildlife Fund' supporting 50 mammals, 580 bird & 25 reptile species.
Overnight at hotel.
Day 02 : Corbett
Arrive Corbett & check into hotel.
Breakfast. Morning at leisure for own activities and to enjoy the facilities of the resort.
Lunch. Afternoon, Jeep safari into the park for wildlife viewing and to spot Tigers.
Park Population -
Corbett has the highest density of Tiger in the country -- approximately one every 10 sq km and it was here that the prestigious "Project Tiger" was launched in 1973. Four species of deer -- hog deer, sambar, chital and barking deer and other prey like the wild boar, are fodder for the tiger.
Besides the tiger, Corbett is a haven for 50 mammals, 580 kinds of birds and 25 reptile species. The park has elephants, the Himalayan black bear in the higher elevations, sloth bear, varieties of lesser cats, dhole the wild dog and an entire spectrum of colourful birds including water birds, pheasants, jungle fowl and the Indian hornbill.
Basking along the banks of the Ramganga are the slender snouted Gharial and the mugger or marsh crocodile. The river is rich in the magnificent mahaseer-- a fine sporting fish prized by anglers, though angling is not permitted inside the national park. Other varieties fish found here are the goonch and the brown trout.

Day 03 :
Corbett / Delhi
Optional - Early morning Jeep safari into the park for wildlife viewing.
Breakfast at the Resort.
Rest of the morning at leisure.
After lunch, check out & depart Corbett by coach for Delhi. |

Day 01:
Arrival at Kathmandu
Upon arrival at Kathmandu our local representative will receive you and transfer to the hotel. Thereafter you will relax and later in the evening proceed to Bhaktapur for a sightseeing tour. Bhaktapur lay on the route between Tibet/China and India and hence became an important town. Bhaktapur is now a popular tourist destination for people visiting Nepal. Overnight stay will be at Hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 02:
Kathmandu
In the morning you will visit the Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhnath, Patan and Swayambhunath. You can spend rest of the time at leisure. Overnight stay will be at hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 03:
Kathmandu / Pokhara
After breakfast you will be driven to Pokhara and check in at the hotel on arrival. PM. Boating on famous Pokhara lake for 1 hour. O/n at Hotel.
Day 04:
Pokhara
Day free. O/n at Hotel.
Day 05:
Pokhara/ Chitwan
(250 km /4.5 hrs) AM. Drive to Chitwan National Park, check in the Lodge. (optional - visit of jungle on ann elephant back) or day free. O/n in Chitwan lodge.
Day 06:
Chitwan/ Kathmandu
(260 km / 05 hrs) AM. Visit to Jungle on elephant back, canoeing in river & further visit to crocodile breading farm. Return to the lodge at 10 am, Drive to Kathmandu. O/n at Hotel.
Day 07:
Kathmandu/ Delhi. (Flight)
PM. On Arr. Tfr. To international airport to catch the flight for Delhi. |
